Thank you for subscribing – we aim to do our best to help you navigate the financial markets during these extraordinary times.
In the aftermath of the credit crisis, we cut interest rates to zero and printed trillions of pounds, yen, euros and dollars. Then every future hiccup, from the Greek crisis to the pandemic, we printed even more. The result is that the developed world is saddled in debt. Rising interest rates are needed to fight inflation, but that means servicing it is costly, and taxes are already at record highs. We are running out of money. During times like this, we need to think differently and avoid the landmines.
If you are new to finance or don’t understand something, please do not hesitate to ask us questions. We avoid jargon wherever possible, but some is inevitable as the financial world is full of it. Quite literally! If you don’t understand something, then please get in touch.
